Pastor: Fr. Bruce Krause, CM

We, the members of St. Mary’s Parish, share a common vision that we are called to be a Christian Community in East Central Alabama. Faithful to Christ’s words, ‘As the Father has sent me, so I send you’ (John 20:21) and in solidarity with all, we see ourselves growing in sensitivity to the needs and cultural backgrounds of all people. Following the charism of St. Vincent de Paul, we, as a Community of Faith, will strive to reach out to meet the needs of all, especially those who are poor in body and spirit”

Located at the corner of 10th St. and 4th Ave. in Opelika, AL, St. Mary Catholic Church has been served by the Vincentian Fathers since it’s founding in 1910. The oldest Catholic parish in Lee County, St. Mary’s has attended to the spiritual and physical needs of the community. We continue today not only in celebrating the Eucharist, but also in service to one another and to those in need in our area.
